Sometimes an artist and a label take things as far as they can together and a change is needed. It can work out best for all parties involved and that might be the case with Jerrod Niemann.
He had some great success with Arista, but the two parties parted earlier this year and Jerrod is now signed with Curb Records. And now he’s ready with his first single for the label. And he has a buddy on this one, Lee Brice, who is one of the big guns on Curb.
A Little More Love – Jerrod Niemann
I like this one.
It’s got that Jerrod Niemann feel. That’s always a good thing or an artist. When they have a sound that makes you think of them it’s a good thing and Jerrod has kind of built his own sound over his career and this one sounds familiar while also sounding fresh.
It seems like a great song for the upcoming summer. It’s got some singalong elements. You can kind of groove at your desk while you’re working. You sit back and think about cruising around in the car with the windows down or you think about hitting the beach or the lakeside.
The song is about getting back to loving and living and not always working so much. We seem to live in a time where people like to brag about how busy all the time.
Work is fine, but let’s enjoy the real great things in life like kicking back with friends and family.
