In 2003 a guy with a funny name came onto the scene with a huge hit What Was I Thinkin’. Dierks Bentley went on to have a couple more singles off his debut album. By the time the run through his first album was done people knew his name and the album had been certified platinum for sales of over 1 million.

Dierks kept the momentum going on his next few albums. He continued releasing hit singles and his albums continued selling well. He began taking his touring show on the road at a headlining act. He puts on a great show as rolls through his collection of fun, uptempo songs along with his passionate ballads that the girls love.

Dierks Bentley has been successful in his young career and he has a ton of diehard fans to keep him going. In 2010, he released his first bluegrass inspired album Up On The Ridge. While a departure from his normal style, Dierks is branching out and pushing himself to his creative limits. It will be interesting to see how the album fits in his career collection, but the early response from fans is positive and that’s usually what matters most.
