Eric Church came onto the country music scene with his first single, How ‘Bout You. The song kind of hung around the top 20, top 15 range for a few weeks, but fans connected with Church’s unique breed of music.

The song was a declaration of sorts for Church. How ‘Bout You saw Church speaking about all of the things that should make him a legit country music star with the background of a country guy, just like you buddy. The lyrics could come off as a little too much and possibly even cliche, but Church delivered them with emotion that fans connected.

Slowly through ’06 to ’07, Church grew his fanbase and despite a few minor mishaps like the disagreement on set length on a Rascal Flatts tour, Church continued seeing his singles reach the top 20 and soon his album sold nearly 500,000 copies.

A sixth single from presumably his second album, His Kind of Money, was released in 2008. It reached the top 50 and soon disappeared. It’s a great song that hardcore fans know and love.

Next came the smash, top ten hit, Love Your Love The Most.

This may be the song that takes Eric Church to another level. The album, Carolina, is staying in the top 20 on the charts and with a few more singles may see the gold mark – quite an accomplishment for an artist that seems to be honing his skills as a rising country music star.

Eric Church has loyal fans. Attend an Eric Church show and you’ll be amazed at the hardcore fans in the front middle singing back every lyric to every song from his two albums.
