Jerrod NiemannBio

Jerrod Niemann has been active in music since he was a kid. Like most future country music stars, Jerrod got his start singing talent competitions and just about anywhere else with a stage.

Jerrod self released an album in 1999. He kept building his reputation and in 2001 Garth Brooks contacted him to collaborate with other songwriters on a few songs that would become hits for Brooks. Good Ride Cowboy, That Girl Is A Cowboy, and Midnight Sun all became hits for Garth Brooks on his mid and late ’00s compilations albums.

Jerrod’s breakout came in 2010 when he recorded the song You Don’t Treat Me No Good originally recorded by the soul group Sonia Dada in 1992. Jerrod recorded the song on his own and it caught the attention of Brad Paisley’s Sea Gayle Records – an imprint of Paisley’s label Arista Nashville. Sea Gayle put marketing effort behind the song and things took off.

Lover, Lover became a smash hit at radio as fans couldn’t help but sing along with the catchy tune. An album followed in July 2010 and debuted at #1 on the country album charts.

Will Jerrod follow other artists and have a successful career or will he become a one-hit wonder? His unique sound and talent have many thinking he can continue his debut success.
