John Rich
Bio
John Rich’s career in Nashville has been as persistent as any.
In the early and mid-nineties, Rich was is his early twenties when, as the bassist of Lonestar, the band released their first two successful albums. The band was having success on the singles charts and their albums were going gold. However, the party ended for Rich as he was either fired from the band or he left on his own accord. Shortly after the band released their third and most successful album Lonely Grill.
After Lonestar, Rich hung out around Music City as a solo artist. He continued writing songs and performing in the clubs. He eventually hooked up with Big Kenny and together the two started a new blend of country music that caught on in 2003 with the release of their triple platinum album Horse of a Different Color.
During the mid-’00s, Rich had success as a performer, songwriter, and producer. In 2005and 2006 it seemed like every song on the radio was a John Rich co-write.
Today Rich is back on the solo track releasing new music and continuing to perform both on his own and occasionally with Big Kenny.
