LeAnn Rimes
Bio
LeAnn Rimes was only 14 years old when her debut single Blue raced up the country charts in 1996. Listeners were delighted to hear a voice that had tradition and soul. Not since Patsy Cline had there been an artist that could sing so distinctively.
Fans loved that Rimes was young and they loved even more that her voice was so amazing. After the success of her debut album Blue, Rimes released two albums in 1997. Both debuted at #1 on the charts and sold millions of copies.
In 1998, Rimes released her proper follow-up studio album Sittin’ On Top of the World. It was another platinum success.
As Rimes entered her 20s and the ’00s began, the singer began exploring her musical boundaries. She added a few pop melodies and sounds to her records. She recorded a song for the popular movie Coyote Ugly.
In 2004, Rimes returned to the top five on the country charts with three consecutive singles off her album This Woman.
Now in her late 20s and with so much behind her, LeAnn is a veteran in country music. However, the talented singer seems to have the drive to continue expanding her creativity with her music.
