It’s been a three year journey thus far in country music.
In reality, it’s probably been much longer for this country singer. Since 2009, Ash has released a single each year with hopes of breaking through on country radio. His latest single is [easyazon-link asin=”B004ZDG1PQ”]I Still Believe In That[/easyazon-link]. The song has heart. Ash’s vocals have passion.
It seems like it could be a hit. What do you think?
I Still Believe In That – Ash Bowers
Ash Bowers has seen his first two singles reach the top fifty on the charts. Most new artists won’t get much attention with this kind of chart performance. It seems like his label – Stoney Creek (sister to Broken Bow) – is sticking with him, though. I think that shows they believe in this guy and I’m willing to trust any label that believed in Jason Aldean when no one else would.
With the song – [easyazon-link asin=”B004ZDG1PQ”]I Still Believe In That[/easyazon-link] – Ash looks at all the things happening in the modern day world. Things seemed to have changed a bit since most of us were raised. You don’t have to be 50 years old to remember the days when a little slap on the backside was a way to get a kid’s attention when they screwed up.
It wasn’t that long ago when kids were taught to respect anyone they met. Not too long ago people lived and died by their word. Not too long ago people knew everyone in their small town. They helped each other. They looked out for each other.
Ash still believes in that way of life and I’m sure many other country fans do as well.
Beyond the lyrics, I think the song has a catchy melody. It seems like the kind of song that could get some attention for Ash. His career is just getting started yet for him it probably feels like he’s been looking for a hit forever. I think this song could break into the top 40 and even the top 30. That could be just what this newcomer needs to get the attention of a few more country fans.
