There are a lot of good things happening to The Band Perry these days.
The band is fresh off their first two wins at the ACMs. Their debut album was certified Gold. Their latest single is in the top 15 and rising. Their single from last year reached the top spot and has been a huge hit on radio all year.
Lately I’ve been hearing All Your Life on AOL’s New Country First. They occasionally play album cuts from artists’ albums. The songs sometimes become singles, but not always. In this case the song seems like it has the potential to turn into a single.
All Your Life is an interesting track. First off the song has the classic back porch feel The Band Perry has kind of made their own. It’s an organic sound with a little bluegrass and some country. It’s their own sound especially with the lead vocals of Kimberly – probably one of the most unique voices in country music today.
The song is more laid back than the last single from The Band Perry. It’s sweet with plenty of heart and loving emotion. The narrator in the track is expressing her desire to be the only one in her boy’s life. She doesn’t want much else in the world. All she needs to be happy is to his one and only for all his life.
It’s a sweet sentiment most people feel when they’re falling in love. At those moments nothing else really matters except knowing you’re the only one another person wants forever.
The feeling is captured perfectly here in the melody and music.
A great track.
