The Band PerryA trio of young siblings is finding some early success in country music.

The Band Perry consists of Kimberly along with brothers Reid and Neil. Together they have formed one of the rising groups in country music. Their latest single is already in the top 20 on the country singles charts and appears destined for greater heights.

If I Die Young is a surprisingly strong and unique single from the young group. The song is about a person that leaves kind of a living will to let everyone know what they want to happen if they were to die. The song contains some emotional lyrics including a mention of the mom and a boy in town that says he loves the narrator.

Along with the story what makes the song unique is the sound. The tune opens with only the lead vocal of Kimberly. It grabs your attention right away. At first I wasn’t sure if I liked the song, but after a few listens I’ve come to enjoy it each time I hear it.

The Band Perry now has one minor single on their hands along with the growing hit If I Die Young. The band’s debut album is due out later this fall and there is plenty of anticipation among country fans.

What do you think of The Band Perry and their latest single?
