Billy Currington may have another hit on his hands.
Billy is currently riding his last single up the charts, but there’s one sitting back on his latest album I think will strike a chord with fans too. It’s a fun little song in the same laid back mood as other Billy songs. And to throw a little extra trivia in there the new track was co-written by Frankie Ballard, singer of A Buncha Girls and Tell Me You Get Lonely.
The song I’m talking about is All Day Long and it seems to be on pace for being the next single although I’m not in charge at the label so I could be completely off base.
In the last few years Billy Currington has really come into his own. He plays the laid back guy to perfection. It seems like he works hard to make things look easy and that includes picking great songs. All Day Long sounds like a track right in the vein of what Billy’s been doing recently.
All Day Long is about a guy spending the entire night with a great gal. They do all the things lovers do in the night and Billy wants her to stay the entire time so he can miss her all day long when the sun comes up.
The sexy, charming nature of Billy’s vocals and the music make Billy unique in the country world. Nobody else is really doing anything this romantic except for a few songs from Josh Turner. Billy seems to have the little niche mastered and it seems female fans love every bit of it.
I don’t know if All Day Long is the next single, but I sure hope so. It’s a joy to listen to.
