Billy Currington has had a few breaks in his career. Usually being off the singles chart for a year will get an artist in trouble. They always want to keep that momentum going because it’s hard to get back in the groove for some artists.
But Billy has been able to do it successfully and he’s ready to do it again. I’m sure he’s refreshed and ready to get back on the radio. Here is his latest single.
Hey Girl – Billy Currington
Is this the deepest country song in the world?
It this a good country song?
I think sometimes we get too caught up in the meaning of a song. Sometimes we need to just kick back and enjoy the melody of a song. I think that’s something Billy understands. This song is repetitive. It’s fun. It’s got this kind of R&B feel to it that Billy is kind of known for in the country world. It’s something you can groove with and just kick back and enjoy life with that person you care about.
The lyrics have a few cliche′s. It’s about a guy that is falling for a girl. He can’t think of much to say to her because she’s kind of got him in this trance.
This is a good song. It’s something people will be singing along with. It’s a made-ready radio hit single. It’s got that romantic feeling people like to hear and it’s going to do well at radio.
It’s a good song.
What do you think?
