Brad PaisleyBrad Paisley kicked butt again in 2010.

The years started with Brad Paisley watching his hit American Saturday Night climb all the way to #2 on the charts in February. The song had a quick rise to the top of the charts. It was a tune about America’s melting pot background and the willing of everybody to get together for fun and enjoyment on Saturday nights.

After that song peaked there was more from Brad. His songs Water and Anything Like Me reached the top spot on the charts over the year. Recently Brad released the single This Is Country Music. It’s going to be his first hit of 2011 and the exciting part is scheduled to be released on a new album of the same name later this spring.

GACTV has more on Brad’s remarkable 2010 in Brad Paisley Lives Beyond His Dreams:

But it wasn’t the only highlight of the last 12 months for Brad. He put out his first greatest-hits album, he was the first musical guest when Jay Leno resumed his place as the host of “The Tonight Show,” and he got a personal phone call from President Barack Obama with words of encouragement for the city of Nashville in the wake of the floods in May. If that weren’t enough, Brad played for an estimated 65,000 people in boats during an AquaPalooza concert at Lake Travis in Texas. And he headlined a sold-out stadium for the first time, playing Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Mass., with Jason Aldean, Darius Rucker, Sara Evans and Easton Corbin.

And on top of all that Brad’s been busy with his wife raising two rambunctious young boys back at home.

It was a busy 2010 for Brad Paisley and there is much to be excited about from the country star as we roll into 2011.

Brad Paisley in 2011

To kick of 2011 Brad Paisley has a new single climbing the charts. This Is Country Music is a song about the genre of music Brad has devoted his life to. He discusses all the things country music stands for and all the topics in life the great artists of the genre touch on in their music. It’s easy to see the passion Brad has for his craft. He truly loves country music – what it stands for, where it’s been, and where it’s going. He seems to feel a responsibility to the genre of music and the fans that have given him so much. Up to this point Brad has certainly given plenty back to the fans of country music with his wonderful songs. TThis Is Country Music is sure to be another top hit for the singer.

With Brad there is always the expectation for hit singles. Beyond that there are his albums and 2011 has another one on tap.

New Album

The release date is April 19th for Brad’s next album This Is Country Music. Sure, it’s a bold statement for an album. How can any artist claim there music is exactly what country music is? I think Brad gets a pass on the title for the album. After all, he’s one of the traditional guys in country music right now. He’s got plenty of twang and down home lyrics in his songs so he certainly has the right to claim his music is country.

Album sales have slipped on a couple of Brad’s last albums, but that’s been a common trend with other artists as well over the past couple of years. Still, Brad’s latest album reached gold status after his previous albums had consistently sold a million or more. With the new album I’m sure there are big expectations that Brad will return to his high selling ways. There is no reason to doubt what Brad can do after all. He’s not only one of today’s best songwriters, he’s one of the best guitar players, entertainers, and he has a unique voice fans love listening to.

This is kind of a wild card prediction, but I think there may be a duet with Darius Rucker on the new Paisley album. The two had a great duet – I Don’t Care – on Rucker’s latest set. The two seem to be great buddies after touring last year. I’d say we might get something snappy and great on the new album.

Tour Dates

As mentioned in the GACTV article above Brad Paisley played his first stadium show in 2010 at Gillette Stadium. Those are huge places to have a show. You need to be part of the big time in order to pack a stadium full of people. Kenny Chesney is currently one of the country stars able to pack stadiums all over the world full of people. Perhaps Brad can pack a few more in 2011.

Brad currently doesn’t have any stadiums booked for 2011, but there is plenty of time to get things rolling.

I remember seeing Brad’s show in 2007 in Eau Claire, WI. He had lasers going the entire time with a cool video show on the big screen behind him. It was a great show where Brad also showcased his guitar skills. I remember during the show loving the song Mud On The Tires and it seemed like everybody in the crowd was dancing and singing along the entire time during the song. It was almost hard to hear Brad over the voices of the people in the crowd. It was a great moment.

Brad Paisley is a great entertainer. His CMA for Entertainer of the Year was well deserved. If you’re out looking for a great country show in 2011 be sure to find Brad Paisley near your home this summer. I’m sure you’ll even get a glimpse at a few of the new songs from the new album.

Let us know how the Paisley shows are this year. He’s heading out with fellow star Darius Rucker again.

Also heading out on tour with Brad Paisley is newcomer Jerrod Niemann. The Lover, Lover singer was signed by Paisley to Brad’s own Sea Gayle record label and his single went straight to the top of the charts.

Discussion

There is a lot coming from Brad Paisley in 2011. A new album, more great single releases and some big tour dates. Brad has been on a George Strait-like roll with his hits over the last 5 to 7 years and he’s showing no signs of slowing down.

Brad Paisley has established himself as one of today’s biggest country superstars.

Is there anything I missed?

What else can fans expect from Brad Paisley in 2011?
