The phrase is “tipping point”.
That’s what happened to Brantley Gilbert in 2011. After a few years of hard work and effort, Brantley reached the point where his career took off. He had moved labels. He re-released his last album and he had his first single on the charts. And, oh yeah, that single just happened to reach number one on the charts.
Now Brantley is ready to follow up the success in 2012. Check out his next release, You Don’t Know Her Like I Do. I think you’ll like this romantic love song…
You Don’t Know Her Like I Do – Brantley Gilbert
How great is that song?
It’s not often an artist that has a really strong break out hit can come back with some just as great. I think that’s what’s happening to Brantley. After Country Must Be Country Wide reached the number one spot it was hard to imagine he’d have more great songs to release to radio.
With You Don’t Know Her Like I Do, Brantley keeps his rocking edge, but puts it together with the passion of a great love song. You can’t help, but feel like you’re seeing just how much he loves the girl in the song. You can feel the emotion in his voice when he tells everybody how he feels about her. Nobody knows her like he does and he knows he’s the one for her.
It seems like we all have that one person in our lives that only we know. I’m talking about really knowing someone like Brantley sings about in You Don’t Know Her Like I Do. They’re the only person in this world for us and nobody could ever do it better than us. There is history there and there is something nobody else can offer.
It’s been quite the story in country music to see Brantley break out in 2011. Things kind of got started with the song My Kinda Party late in 2010 when Jason Aldean took it to the top of the charts. Then Brantley released a new single with Valory Music and people started taking notice. Brantley sounds different. He has a really hard rock sound, but it works in country.
Flash forward to the end of 2011 and Jason Aldean is taking another song, Dirt Road Anthem, to the top of the charts. That song was written by Brantley and friend Colt Ford. And by this time Brantley was nearing the top of the charts with his own track.
Now he’s over the hill of being a major country force and it seems like he’s ready to continue climbing. Songs like You Don’t Know Her Like I Do are the kinds of songs that make careers. This track is amazing and I can’t imagine it doing anything else, but going straight to the top of the charts.
Things are looking good for Brantley in 20112.
