You might remember a song called Lipstick Promises.
The song was a top ten country hit in 1995. The singer was George Ducas. He was on Liberty/Capital Records back in those days with some of the biggest artists in the world.
Since then George has taken time off to raise his family. He’s also kept busy in the music industry writing hit songs for Garth Brooks, Sara Evans and Eli Young Band.
Now George is back with a new record, 4340. The entire album is good, but we’re looking at the first single, Breakin’ Stuff.
Breakin’ Stuff – George Ducas
George’s voice sounds really good. And you know he can write a great country song based on his track record with other artists.
This song has a really cool and modern sound. It seamlessly blends the ’90s and today. I think that’s pretty cool because that era of country music is my favorite. I think this song is one that should get some attention.
George Ducas is back with music about people. It’s a personal touch that hasn’t been out there in country for awhile. It’s good to have it back. It’s true singer-songwriters like George that know how to put together great songs that people can relate to on a deeper level.
Let me know your thoughts on the song.
Would love to hear from you.
