Now here is some country from Brett Eldredge.
I have to say I’m having a little flashback to the ’90s. The new song from Brett is rocking country with a smooth groove and plenty of catchy hooks. I’m thinking this song has a chance to reach the top ten on the charts.
Listen to It Ain’t Gotta Be Love by Brett Eldredge…
It Ain’t Gotta Be Love – Brett Eldredge
Are you getting the same feeling?
I’m really loving this song. It reminds me of the country music released in the mid ’90s. The songs back then were full of hooks and plenty of good and simple country stories. The story Brett is telling her is as country as it gets.
With It Ain’t Gotta Be Love we have a guy and gal possibly finding just a little interest in each other one day. She appears to be a bit hesitant about things at first, but Brett assures her this thing doesn’t have to be love just yet. In fact it may never reach that status, but for now the two should just enjoy the connection and enjoy the moment.
This is a new side of Brett we haven’t seen up to this point. On his first single – Raymond – he pulled at the emotions of everyone that’s been affected by Alzheimer’s. I know I have felt the impact on my family and the song really hit home for me when I first heard it and reviewed it here. From the comments I could tell the song had special meaning for many of the fellow country fans out there.
I’m happy to see things change pace for Brett, though. It’s good to have a few up tempo tracks. It ain’t gotta be something knock out special all the time and I think what Brett has with It Ain’t Gotta Be Love is going to work.
I think the song will work with fans and I think it will work on radio. It’s the perfect summer song. I can myself playing this on all kind of road trips as I make my way across Wisconsin for all the summer events coming up.
What do you think of the song?
