Here is a special song for many reasons. The song is from Bradley Walker. You may not have heard that name before. I believe this is his first release. The album of the same name was just released.
Bradley has been around the music world for some time. There’s a great video of him singing with the Oak Ridge Boys all the way back in 1989.
Bradley has also been friends with Joey + Rory. Here is a little more about their history.
If you like traditional country I think you’ll like this one.
Call Me Old-Fashioned – Bradley Walker
What a great country song. That video above of Bradley singing George Strait from 1989 shows that he grew up in the late ’80s and early ’90s when traditional country was making a big comeback.
That’s the style he brings to this song. And I think there is still room for music like this in today’s country world. We have artists like William Michael Morgan and Chris Young still carrying the torch of people like Alan Jackson and George Strait.
And it certainly sounds like Bradley Walker could carry that torch as well. He brings something very unique to fans with his music. I imagine he can do some really wonderful cover songs in concert, but with songs like this he won’t have to play any covers in a short time.
I don’t know what’s in store for this song as far as radio or things like that. But I’m sure fans will connect with this one online and I know they’re already buying the album.
How about this one? What do you think?
