It was a pretty big deal when Alabama released a new album last year. The first single didn’t get a ton of play on country radio, but the album sold pretty well initially. And the guys are ready with a new single. It’s a good one and I’m hoping that it does well at radio.
But you never know. It seems like radio is always looking for the next big thing in country and not the artist that was a staple for two decades.
Come Find Me – Alabama
This is a pretty cool song. You don’t get many songs like this today in country music. It’s really stripped down and touches on a real emotion in life. This is a guy that’s expressing how much he needs his friend, his lover because he’s been out in the world feeling all alone.
It’s almost like this one was put together as a jazz lounge song. It’s really kind of sorrowful yet hopeful. The guy wishes that his woman would come and be with him. Maybe he’s just lost out there in the world. It’s left kind of vague. You would think in the context of the band that it’s about life out on the road, but it could be about a different situation where a guy is just feeling like he’s been alone.
It’s a beautiful sounding song and you would expect nothing less from Alabama. They have always been great players and Randy has always been a great singer. He sounds as good as ever really.
It’s a good song. I don’t know if it’s a hit.
