It’s another pleasant surprise.
This time newcomer DJ Miller is providing the latest country song everybody’s talking about. Over the past few weeks I’ve been hearing this song on radio. It sounded like it was coming from a major artist. The song is excellent, well-written, and really starting to make an impact.

Between Sundays – DJ Miller
There is something about DJ Miller’s voice that sounds like he’s been doing this for a lifetime. The singer is only in his early twenties, but he sounds like he’s been singing country music for decades. According to his biography, young DJ would tape TV concerts of his favorite artists like Garth Brooks and Brad Paisley. He’s study those shows just like he was doing homework.
Now DJ finds himself with a song that seems to be capturing the attention of quite a few country fans. It’s been out a few weeks now, but as with any new single it’s slowly making it’s way into the minds and hearts of fans.
[easyazon-link asin=”B0052FEUY0″]Between Sundays[/easyazon-link] is about a dad telling a few life lessons to his son. The dad explains anyone can go to church on Sundays, but that the true measure of a man is what he does the rest of the week.
It’s a good lesson for anyone – treat those around you with respect and do the best you can to provide a good life for your family. It’s really that simple, yet so many of us forget the things like respect, helping others, and putting ourselves last.
There are still quite a few good folks out there, though. The father in the song reminds me of so many people I have known over the years. There are the neighbors that shovel the snow in the driveway, the dads that get home after a long day at work and play catch until dark with their kids, and the moms that basically give up their entire life for their kids and grandkids.
Those are the real heroes in life.
Great song, DJ and best of luck as your young career keeps gaining momentum.
