Here is something you may not have heard just yet. This is one that’s maybe out on the edge of country music, but we like including songs like this one on CML. We write about the top songs on radio. I like those as much as you and the other country fans out there, but I like songs like this too.
This is a new song from Dan Fletcher. It’s my first introduction to his music and I like it. I might have to check out the entire album that he just put out a few weeks ago.
Earth’s Most Beautiful Liars – Dan Fletcher
The song is an interesting take on a relationship that hasn’t worked out. Or it could be that these two people are still together even though they both know that it’s not a good fit and probably won’t work out.
That’s kind of where the hook of the song comes in. You have two people that are lying to each other and lying to themselves and really lying to anyone that’s looking. They’re trying to tell each other that they’re going to work out in the end and that they’re happy, but that’s not going to be the case.
It’s a good subject for a song. And I like the music and melodies as well. It’s catchy and the more you listen the more you like it. The backup singer or I guess the person who really shares the spotlight on the song adds some great vocals. It’s a cool point of view having both male and female on the song.
What do you think of this one?
