I’ve been listening to Easton Corbin’s new album nonstop for the last few weeks. There are a handful of really great tracks that could become hit singles, but there is one that really stands out. It’s even better than the first single Lovin’ You Is Fun, which was a great song as well.
Here is the new song. Hopefully there will be a video because I think it would be fun.
All Over The Road – Easton Corbin
As Easton was working on this record he gave an interview. I can’t remember where exactly it was, but the interviewer asked Easton about the songs he was putting on the record and how he was approaching his new album. Easton said they were going to try a few new things on the record, but they were also going to stick with what works well.
The answer seemed familiar to me and I think it’s what George Strait has been doing for decades. George always had a way of creating something new while sounding the same. It’s not easy to do and I think Easton has done that with this song.
This is a new type of song for Easton although it sounds like a classic Easton Corbin song. It’s really great.
Building on the playful loving nature of Lovin’ You Is Fun this new song, All Over The Road, is about two young people falling in love. Well, they might actually be in love already and the setting of the song is they’re driving along. She’s playing with him a little bit by putting her hand on his knees and maybe even blowing a few kisses in his ear.
He knows that she loves him and all he wants to do is get back home as fast as he can. In the meantime, though, he’s struggling to keep the vehicle going straight.
It’s a great love song and the melody is killer. It’s a surefire hit.
