Now here is some throwback country music. You won’t hear this much on the radio anymore, but you really should. There are so many great artists out there making great country music. I think this is a great example. Check out this song from Josh Martin.
Every Day That Ends In Y – Josh Martin
We really haven’t had a sad country song in a while, but this one sure is. You have a guy that has to leave someone he loves. I think we’ve all had situations like this whether it’s a friend, a child, a grandparent or a lover. We’ve all had to say goodbye to someone for many different reasons and we’ve probably had to say goodbye multiple times.
I think the song is even sadder when you remember that Clay Walker had an uptempo love song with a similar title. This one kind of takes the other approach in a way, but still shows that you love someone so much that you love them on every day that ends in Y.
I think the lyrics are well done. I think the music is well done as well. It seems like the perfect blend and it fits the emotions well. You’re feeling sad, but there is hope as well. You feel like you could be with the person again if things work out right.
What are your thoughts on this song? Does it make you feel a little sad? Does it make you think of someone that you’ve had to say goodbye to in the past?
