Chase Rice kind of snuck up on the country mainstream world a few years ago with a few big hits. And his album sold really well. He’s kind of that independent artist story that was able to team up with a major label in a different kind of way.
Last year he released a single from an upcoming album. It sold pretty well, but didn’t get a ton of radio play. But he’s back now with a song that sounds like it would do well at radio. Let’s check it out.
Everybody We Knows Does – Chase Rice
The theme here is that not everybody works hard all day and then kicks back after work with a few beers. Not everybody likes living out in the country away from all the hustle in the city. And not everybody believes in spending time outdoors hanging with family and friends.
But if you’re from the country then everybody that you know does and everybody that your friends know does as well.
That theme is wrapped up in a song that has a pretty catchy beat and groove. But it’s not overly in-your-face or anything like that. It’s more of a mid-tempo song that makes you feel good about chilling on a Friday night as you’re getting ready to meet up with your friends to blow off some steam.
This song sounds like it will do well as we head into the backend of the summer months. I could see Chase playing this one at the country fests this summer and getting plenty of lighters and beers cans held high in the air.
What do you think of this one?
Are you one that loves the country?
