One of country’s rockers has a new song out. It’s just entering the charts now, but it seems like it might have some legs as we move into the coming weeks. Maybe you’ve heard this new one from Casey James and if not here it is to check out.
Fall Apart – Casey James
This one sounds like the sound that was in the rock world in the late ’80s and into the early ’90s. There are some wailing guitar solos and some vocals that make it seem like a classic power ballad.
And I’m a fan of that era so that’s a good thing for me. And it’s not all that different than country music we’ve heard over the years. There have been country songs with this style over the years kind of starting with Little Texas and even up through today. Dan Huff has a little hair metal in him and he’s got his fingers on a lot of music in Nashville today.
I’m not sure how this one will do on the charts. Casey has had a couple top 30 songs, but his last one didn’t get as high up on the chart as maybe he thought it would. It’ll be interesting to see what this one does.
I’m interested in hearing your thoughts. Are you a Casey James fan? Where do you think this one will end up on the charts by the time its run is over? And what does the future hold for Casey?
