Friend Of A Friend by Tim McGraw

Tim McGraw Barn

A great and emotional song from Tim McGraw.

It doesn’t get much better in country music than Tim McGraw.

The man has been around for 20 years now and he still knows how to sound fresh and original.

It looks like Tim is moving on to his next album. He’s had four singles off Two Lanes Of Freedom. I’m not sure if he’ll put out one more single, but one album cut off the record has been getting some play. I thought we could share it with you.

Friend Of A Friend – Tim McGraw

This song kind of reminds me of Learning To Live by Garth Brooks. It’s not exactly the same, but the feeling in the song is familiar.

This one is about a guy that’s trying to get over a former lover. It could his wife or someone he was deeply involved with. It sounds like he’s trying to find a way to deal with it. He’s in a little bit of denial.

The woman has moved on. The guy hears updates through the grapevine that she’s found someone new and has even gotten married. The guy is still holding out hope, though. Especially after hearing that the woman may have left her new man, the guy is still holding out hope.

I’m not sure how healthy that is, but I’m sure this is a common situation for many people.

Beautiful if sad song.

What do you think of it?
