Angaleena Presley has a couple new songs out this month. She’s always been one of my favorites. I first heard about her with the Pistol Annies. I’m sure her hardcore fans knew about her well before that.
It actually seemed like Angaleena was singing a lot of lead with the Annies. It would be cool if they came back with another record. I’m sure they will at some point.
Angaleena also did a great cover of Merry Christmas From The Family that was really good. I love that holiday song.
Anyway, Angaleena has released solo music before, but it’s great to have some of her new stuff out.
Good Girl Down – Angaleena Presley
A few words I would use to describe Angaleena would be edgy, strong and confident. She always seems like she knows who she is. She may not have life figured out, but she’s going to do it her way.
I can appreciate that. She seems like she was kind of the black sheep of the family in a way. I can relate to that. She does things her own way and that’s the way it will always be.
This song is about a girl that’s been kind of wronged by a guy. He’s not calling. She thought maybe there was something between them even though it was short. But obviously he’s moving on and the hook in this one is that she’s not going to let some man ruin her day.
You can’t get a good girl down. She’s going to go on living her life. He’s missing out, for sure, but she’s moving on.
