JJ Lawhorn is one of those under-the-radar country singers. He has a really big audience, but he hasn’t yet cracked the radio charts out there in the mainstream.
But in today’s country world it’s not all about the radio. There are plenty of other ways for people to discover music. And I think plenty of people are going to be listening to this new single over the next few months.
Good Ol’ Boys Like Us – JJ Lawhorn
The theme in many of JJ’s songs is living the country life. He’s a good ol’ boy that works hard and likes to have a good time hunting, fishing and hanging out with friends in the field.
This song is a little more serious, though, than previous releases from JJ. This one touches on the loss of a good buddy that died. In the song, JJ thinks that there’s a special place for the good ol’ boys when they pass.
I think it’s something that can make you smile and think about the loved ones you’ve lost. There are plenty of good ol’ boys and girls out there that go too soon and it’s nice to think that there might be a special place for them just like there was here in this life.
What do you think of the new song?
