Miranda Lambert has new music.
No, her next studio album isn’t ready to hit the shelves just yet, but Miranda has some tracks hitting the airwaves and the web. This time the songs originate from the Pistol Annies. The group consists of Miranda and her buddies Ashley Monroe and Angaleena Presley. The first song making the rounds from the girls is a good one.

Hell On Heels – Pistol Annies
Isn’t that just great?
I love the way the song starts out real slow, low, and mean. It’s got this nasty sound to it. If this is the direction the Pistol Annies are going then I’m already a fan. The song has attitude and almost a reckless nature. It’s something you don’t hear too much in country right now from any artist – male or female.
The song – [easyazon-link asin=”B0057VWSZM”]Hell On Heels[/easyazon-link] – is about a woman (or women) scorned by a man. She’s been wronged in the past and now she’s out to take the man down. In fact she’s on a mission and she’s going to take down anyone standing in her way.
As a guy this song both scares me in a way while making me nod my head along with the music and lyrics. This song is really like nothing I’ve been hearing lately and that always excites me. The Annies have a unique sound and it’s something special. I’d bet they’ll have a major hit album on their hands when it’s released later this year.
Miranda is reaching an apex of her career and she’s taking it even further by co-forming the Pistol Annies. It sounds like the trio is going to make some really great music and we’ll take any and all music from Miranda.
Go get ’em Annies.
