If you listen to pop music at all you’ve probably heard the song Honey, I’m Good the last few months. It seems like every time I turn on the pop station that this one is playing somewhere in the hour.
The singer is Andy Grammer. He’s not entirely a new artist. He’s had an album out in the past and this is actually the second single from his previous album, but this is certainly his breakout hit.
And now it’s a remixed duet with country’s Eli Young Band.
Honey, I’m Good – Andy Grammer and Eli Young Band
The main thing with this song is that it’s super catchy. You can’t help, but get this one caught in your head. Listen to it once and you’ll probably be stuck with it for an hour. Listen to it a couple times and…good luck.
But that’s a good thing. It’s a fun song and it’s about something positive.
You have a guy that is getting some flirting from a girl, but he’s going to turn her down because he’s got someone at home that means the world to him. He already has everything he wants.
I can’t say I’ve been in the situation where girls are coming up to me and I’m having to turn them away, but maybe that happens to singers all the time.
It’s cool that Eli Young Band did this remix. I think it’s cool when pop and country get together like this. It’s a way for country artists to reach new audiences and that can bring more people into country music.
