The music they make down there in Texas is pretty country. I really like it.
I heard that sometimes artists from Texas that make it in the mainstream get a little pushback from their roots. I think it’s pretty cool when an artist makes the big time and represents their state. It’s something that’s good for all the acts there.
Anyway, Josh Abbott Band has been around for several years now. They’ve put out some really great songs.
And they have a new album coming out soon. I think they released three sons early and this is probably my favorite of the three. It’s a good one.
I’m Your Only Flaw – Josh Abbott Band
It’s a little tricky for me to pick a chart spot for this one. I don’t know if these guys can really break through and get into the top 30 and even further on the chart. I’ll be pulling for them.
How good is this lyric?
I love that it kind of builds to telling this girl that she’s just about perfect. I can see her kind of thinking, “What’s wrong with me that I’m not quite perfect?”
Then the guy says that he’s her only flaw.
It’s kind of cool. And the entire song is just kind of a fun little love song. One that you could see two old people dancing too at a wedding or something. It just makes you feel like spending time with the person you love the most. And thanking them for loving you even with all your faults.
