This song stood out to me. I try to listen to all these songs ahead of time at least a few times. This one had something unique about it from the beginning.
There’s a little extra flair in the sound. It’s got a flowing, rolling kind of tempo.
It’s a good song. Let’s check it out.
It’s Not The Same – Tony Garcia
Isn’t it just kind of catchy?
I know it’s a sad song. It’s about a guy that has lost someone. I’m thinking it’s either about a lover that’s left him or possibly about someone that has passed.
Those two things are unfortunately common in this world. We all tend to fall in and out of love. When that happens it’s really difficult. Usually for both parties, but especially for the one that was really in love.
And death is something none of us can avoid. That would really add a sad layer to this song. But I think it’s probably more about the loss of a lover. Looking to do anything to get that person back.
We’ve heard this theme before in country music. It’s that don’t know what you have till it’s gone kind of song. We kind of take things for granted in life. I don’t know why. Complacency is an interesting thing.
Tony Garcia does a good job with this one. I’m not too familiar with his music, but this is a strong song. I’ll be curious to see how this one does.
