James Wesley already has plans for his next single.
Real is still climbing the charts for the new country singer. The song is just a hair away from cracking the country top 20, which would make James a legit country artist with a hit to his name and some momentum built up for another single. Prepping for a release in April 2011 the next song on tap is another good one and things don’t appear to be slowing down for James Wesley any time soon.
Didn’t I is the next track scheduled from James Wesley. It’s got kind of a rocking subtlety do it. There is traditional country in James’ voice though. It’s a good mix of modern day country rock with some ’90s style neo-traditional sound. I like the song and I like what James Wesley is doing on these last couple songs.
The new track – Didn’t I – is about a guy that realizes he lost his girl. She’s left for seemingly better options and the narrator is wondering what he could have done wrong. In his mind he did everything he could to make things work. The relationship was strong and sturdy. He didn’t think she could bring things tumbling down by just up and leaving one day.
There is emotion and pain in James’ voice on the track. It’s probably likely he’s been left in some kind of relationship in the past. Plus he’s a great country singer so he can put a convincing lick on ay track.
Didn’t I fits right in with the kind of tracks being played on country radio right now. For 2011 I’d keep an eye for James’ Real to make a bit more of a run on the charts and then look for the follow up to really gain some attention over the summer and into the fall.
