Why Ya Wanna by Jana Kramer

Let me tell you a secret.

I’ve been a closet One Tree Hill fan since the show started five or so years ago. I don’t know why but I was into the show from the start all the way up to the last year or so.

Now I found out one of the stars from the recent version of the show has a country single out and I just had to give it a listen.

Here is the new song, Why Ya Wanna, by Jana Kramer.

Why Ya Wanna – Jana Kramer

This caught me off guard a little bit.

Jana Kramer was the last person I expected to release a country song. I only knew her as Alex from One Tree Hill. It’s weird how a person can take on the characteristics of their character from a show. What I mean by that is not that the person necessarily becomes the character, but that fans of the show only see the person as the character.

And since Alex started out as a little mean and dangerous in the show I only saw the real person, Jana Kramer, as that way in real life.

That was until I heard her debut country song, Why Ya Wanna.

The song is cool. It has a sound you might recognize from someone like Cyndi Thomson. There is a sultry aspect in Jana’s voice. Her vocals are great. They capture the attention of the guys in the crowd and I’m sure a few women can relate to the lyrics.

The song, Why Ya Wanna, is the story of young love. Two young adults are falling for each other. They aren’t doing anything special, but they’re falling in love with the little things of each other.

The girl in the song is finding herself falling for this guy. He’s not doing anything special other than wearing an old t-shirt and giving a few hugs. The girl is going crazy for him and I’m sure the guy is feeling the same way. When we’re falling in love, especially for the first time, we’re always thinking if the other person is feeling the same way.

You can never go wrong with a classic story about young love. There really is no feeling quite as powerful when you’re young and experiencing things for the first time. This feeling of falling in love for the first time is a new experience for people of this age and it’s amazing.

I think Jana captures that feeling in her voice. She’s not really too young (28 years old), but the song is believable. You can feel that she’s gone through this before in her life just as we all have.

Why Ya Wanna is a good country song. The melody is catchy. The lyrics are good and the song has a subtle country sound that would play well on country radio.

I don’t know if the song will get a chance at radio, but it’s a good song that deserves at least some attention from country fans.

Give it a listen and see what you think.
