Alan Jackson is back with a new country album this summer. And the first single is out now. It’s not on the charts yet, but I think this one could be a sneaky single in the coming months.
That’s weird to say about Alan Jackson, but he might sneak up on your this summer and fall.
Jim And Jack And Hank – Alan Jackson
Let’s bring back some ’90s style country music. That’s when Alan was one of the biggest stars in country music, but his music has really been timeless.
I had the chance to see him just a couple month’s ago and he rocked it. But the amazing thing was seeing all the people in the audience of all different ages singing the words to his songs.
We’re talking everybody from five to eight-five years old. It was crazy.
This new one sounds like it could have been released in the ’90s on one of Alan’s big records.
The song is about a guy that was just broken up with by his former girlfriend or lover or whatever. But he’s not really sweating it too much.
He starts realizing that she didn’t really mean that much to him. Maybe there’s a little bit of denial in the song because the guy plans to hang with his best buddies: Jack Daniels, Jim Beam and Hank Williams.
That’s pretty standard for country breakups.
This is classic Alan all the way, but it does have a little fresh feeling to it as well.
I hope it does well on the charts. It’s been too long since Alan has had a hit on the radio. He’s one of the best still today.
