The title is long and it’s a little awkward. I heard an interview with Keith on The Highway channel this past week and he said that the title itself made him curious about the song. I guess it is true about titles – you need a good one just to get someone to look further.
So before we mention anything else here is the new single from Keith Urban.
John Cougar John Deere John 3:16 – Keith Urban
I guess this might fall into the Heartland music that’s been around for decades and that still pops up once in a while. I think the closest ones to this sound the last few years have been Kid Rock and Kenny Chesney. And before that it was John Mellencamp and Bob Seger and others.
The song is about the heartland of America. You have the rock and roll music singing about what you’re living. You have the tractors in the field making dust and maybe even driving into school and you have a little faith for those that believe.
It’s interesting since Keith is from Australia, but it goes to show that the message of a song doesn’t have to be exact. We can all feel the same things in a little different way and still connect no matter where we grew up.
If you’re in your late 30s and into your late 40s I think this song will really touch you. And the melody gets catchier and catchier the more you listen so I think this will be a big hit.
