There are some interesting rumors out regarding Kenny Chesney.
Word has it that Kenny is looking to tour in 2012 with an old buddy. Will the tour happen? Will there be a duet between Kenny and his country buddy as well?
We’ll have to wait a few months for all of the details to emerge, but it looks like 2012 will be busy for Kenny.
There should be a new album on the horizon and Kenny always delivers with his singles. We should expect only the best from this country superstar. He’s making it a habit to release fresh music consistently and he never lets his fans down.
Kenny Chesney in 2012
In the fall of 2010, Kenny Chesney released his hit record Hemingway’s Whiskey. The album has sold over a million copies and nearly saw the first four singles reach the number on spot on the charts. Kenny will ride through the last few weeks of 2011 riding a fifth single, Reality. The new song might actually be the best of all the singles released up to this point. It’s a great track that sees Kenny once again sounding different than anything else on country radio right now.
As the winter winds down and Reality makes its way up the charts it will be interesting to see what Kenny has planned for the summer. There are some interesting rumors floating around the country world right now and they involve one of Kenny’s old buddies.
Tour and New Music
In the last few days there have been some big rumors concerning Kenny Chesney. The story is that Kenny will tour with Tim McGraw in 2012. The news comes just as Kenny is riding high on a big 2011 and Tim has been somewhat quiet on the music from since entering a legal battle with his label earlier in the year.
The last time Tim and Kenny were out on the road together it was the year 2000. Tim was the perhaps the biggest star in country music at the time. Tim was headlining the biggest places on the touring circuit and Kenny was one of the opening acts. But Kenny was no slouch. He was riding on from his multi-platinum album and was just getting ready to break out as a superstar.
The tour, however, became famous for other reasons. You might remember an incident with Kenny riding a horse that happened to belong to a police officer and Tim getting a little pushy with the officer. The skirmish made headlines. Oh, the things we do when we’ve had too much to drink.
This is 2012, though, and both men have matured as men often do. Tim is settled down with a family and doesn’t drink anymore. Kenny has settled down as well, but more from a general perspective. Kenny is no longer married, but seems to be settled in to his routine of recording, touring, and spending time relaxing in the islands.
Word on the street is that Kenny and Tim are planning a new duet single to be released in 2012. I’m not sure if everything will work out. Tim has been battling Curb Records over the last album Tim recorded. Tim is trying to fulfill his obligation and move on from the contract might have his wish by the summer of 2012 as a court date is set for July 2012.
A duet would be great. These guys are two of country’s kings and any collaboration has the potential to raise each other’s status even more.
Pending the release of the duet single sometime in the summer of 2012 with Tim McGraw, it should be time for Kenny to release a new single. Let’s say that single with Tim does happen. Kenny would still be on schedule to release an album and single of his own later on in the fall.
Kenny has been pretty good at keeping his voice on the radio just about every year since he got started in the industry. 2012 should be no different and Kenny seems ready to deliver new music this year. There is always excitement around new Kenny Chesney music and if things go as scheduled then there should be some great new singles planned from Kenny in 2012.
Let’s hope the duet with Tim McGraw happens and if not we should still hear something great from Kenny by the summer of early fall of 2012.
This should be the year of a new album from Kenny Chesney. Over his nearly 20 year career Kenny has beens steady with album releases. There has been a new collection from Kenny just about every 1-2 years for the better part of two decades.
Kenny last released an album in the fall of 2010. A Fall 2012 album release would be perfect for Kenny. He can kick things off after Reality runs its course on the charts, which should be around late spring and early summer. The single might be a single with Tim or it might be a new track from Kenny.
Either way the single should lead into the next album that’s due for a release in the early fall or maybe pushed out to the holiday shopping season around November 2012.
It should be a great year for Kenny Chesney and his fans.
Kenny is riding his latest single, Reality, up the charts as 2011 comes to a close. It’s a great song and actually my favorite single release of the last record. It’s a great way to end a great couple years for Kenny.
The word is there are big things in store for Kenny in 2012. There are rumors of a co-headlining tour with his old buddy, Tim McGraw. That may or may not happen along with a new duet from the friends.
We’ll see what shakes out there, but you can expect new music from Kenny either way.
It should be a great 2012 in country music and Kenny will remain on the top of the country world as his singles make the way up the charts and Kenny continues to sell out big stages and stadiums all across the country.
