One of my favorite artists in the latter half of the ’90s was Ty Herndon. I remember going to Walmart at one point to pick up his Greatest Hits album.
I didn’t realize that at that time Ty was going through some struggles. The album was kind of released to coincide with his release from the label he had been with.
Ty would struggle for some more years, but then he started releasing music again and has seemed to be in a very good place the last few years. It’s great to see.
This one came out lasts year sometime and I missed it. It’s a good one.
Looking Back At Me – Ty Herndon
Feels like it would have been a hit back in 1997. This was the kind of music that hit back then. And there weren’t a ton of fun duets like this one. The radio needed more songs like this. Nothing too heavy. Just a fun country song that would make you smile and want to dance around a little bit.
Kim McAbee joins Ty on this one. I think it’s off her album. I’m not sure. I haven’t heard of Kim before, but after checking this song out I might have to listen to some more music of hers. She does a good job and works well with Ty.
I always kind of pull for Ty to find some success in country music again. He had so many good hits. You never know, but it’s still great to have him making good music like this one.
