It’s a bit of a surprise to have new music from Luke Bryan.
Luke released the video for the song If You Ain’t Here To Party the other day. I searched and searched and couldn’t find the song on his latest album. Then I realized this was a great track from his last Spring Break EP release. It’s a great song to end Indian Summer. Check it out.
If You Ain’t Here To Party – Luke Bryan
Now, I’m all for artists mixing things up a bit with new videos and songs. And If You Ain’t Here To Party certainly caught me and a few others off guard. It’s not a single from Luke’s latest album, but it kind of makes sense.
Luke has always had a party side. For the last few years he’s been releasing a small collection of songs known as the Spring Break Collection. It’s Luke’s way of acknowledging the young folks in the audience and even the older folks out there that love to have fun all summer long.
If You Ain’t Here To Party fits right in with the summer party theme. It’s got a laid back groove that is perfect for chilling on a summer day with a cold drink while tossing bean bags around. There is nothing better than the perfect summer soundtrack song on an Indian Summer day. We’ve had a few of those up here in Wisconsin the past couple weeks. It’s actually touched the 80s on the thermometer and that’s rare for Wisconsin in October.
I think it’s great that Luke has fun with songs like this each spring. And I think it’s pretty cool that he can release a video like this. He’s one of the biggest stars in the game right now and it’s still good to know that he likes to throw down and party a bit.
Luke’s fans should love If You Ain’t Here To Party. Although I’m sure they already own this EP. And if you don’t have it yet you’ll be missing out on the best damn party of your life as Luke sings in the song.
As the shows get bigger for Luke each summer I’m sure he’ll have plenty of time to throw these tracks in there. Summer shows are really the best. You can’t beat a field full of country fans in the hot summer heat. When the sun sets and everybody’s looking to have a good time there is nothing better than a little Luke Bryan. And it’s even better when he’s singing songs like If You Ain’t Here To Party.
I love this song.
What do you think?
Do you love the video?
Do you have the EP yet.
And by the way, congratulations to Luke on his second gold record for Tailgates & Tanlines. It sure didn’t take long for this record to ship 500,000 copies. That’s pretty impressive for this rising country star.
Way to go Luke and keep these Spring Break records coming. We love ’em.
