When an artist signs with Big Machine it’s cause for paying attention.
I actually hadn’t heard of Seth Alley until recently when I was listening to Wild Country on Spotify. That’s quickly become one of my favorite playlists to listen to on the streaming service.
The song is Me And The Boys. Let’s check it out.
Me And The Boys – Seth Alley
I think the song has been around a while. I’m not sure how long Big Machine has been working to break Seth out into the mainstream. I don’t know if a single has been released, but this would be a good choice for one I think.
It kind of fits in with that Bro Country style, which I don’t think is all that bad. This one actually has a little John Mellencamp feel to it as well. It’s familiar as other songs on the radio right now, but also has some freshness to it, which I like.
The song is about kind of a coming of age in your hometown. You hang out with your buddies kind of looking for things to do and then you kind of move on to the next stages of life.
Then every once in a while you can get back together or simply think about those times when you’re rolling through town. I know that’s kind of what happens to me when I go back to my hometown. Those memories start coming back.
I like this song. It’s catchy. It’s something that people can relate to. I hope we hear it on the radio someday.
