I don’t know if this is the official next single from Luke Bryan. But his latest, Light It Up, has made its climb to the top of the charts and the next one will be coming soon. And this song has already popped up on the radio charts so that’s a pretty good indication that there is some momentum there.
Luke is one of the most interesting folks in country music history. He caught his wave just as Bro Country was taking over the airwaves. Obviously he fit that description, but like most artists he’s much more than just a country bro.
This is another one of those songs that shows a little bit of the softer and thoughtful side. Check it out.
Most People Are Good – Luke Bryan
It’s not a new theme, but it’s a good recurring theme in country music. The most recent example might actually be a song you may not have heard. It’s Call Me Old Fashioned by Bradley Walker. Google that one if you get a chance.
This song is about an introspective guy. He’s looking at the world around him and thinking about how things ought to be done. How things are good when they’re simple. How it’s good to be kind to others.
It’s certainly a little romantic. A little big nostalgic. Maybe a little bit glossy when it comes to looking back on the good ole days.
But Luke is very sincere in singing this one. It sounds great. A nice little slow down from some of the uptempo country songs out there right now.
This is a good one.
