I’ve been waiting on this one. There has been some information out there about the next single from Craig Campbell, but it seems like it’s been slow to find its release date. But that’s finally here and it’s been worth the wait.
Craig’s old label had to close the doors some time ago and it was right during his biggest hit. Then he switched over to Broken Bow and his first single there didn’t make it too far, but this one sounds good.
Check it out.
Outskirts Of Heaven – Craig Campbell
This one is about the country life that so many country fans live. It’s about appreciating the land and all that nature provides if you just get to the outskirts of the cities and towns. There are fields with wild flowers and ponds and streams with fish and wildlife. It’s a really good way to live.
It’s something to be proud of and to enjoy while you’re living and the sentiment in the song is that when you pass you hope you can hold onto that way of life even if it means living on the outskirts of Heaven. There’s no need to change over to the city way of life when the time comes.
Maybe a little underlying meaning in the song or a way to look at it is that the outskirts of the world we live in today are the real heaven. And while we’re hear we should take care of nature and enjoy it to the fullest and be with the ones we love.
I’m looking out on the sunrise right now as I’m writing this and it seems pretty good to live on the outskirts.
