Randy Rogers Band – Ready for the big time?

The Randy Rogers Band has an interesting sound. They feel like a group of guys that have been playing in the garage since they were 14 years old. After a few singles that have reached the outskirts of the country charts it’s time for these guys to have a big breakthrough. Check out their latest single and see if you think they’re ready to get there.

One More Sad Song – Randy Rogers Band

This certainly sounds like a song that should be on country radio. All the elements of a hit are there. The song album has a pop sound to it and that’s big in country music right now. It’s a ballad about life and the difficulties of relationships. The guy is in a relationship, but his feeling is that his girl is leaving him. It’s leading to a future sad song.

There are milestones in every relationship. It seems like it’s a constant test of wills. You reach certain points where you’re able to realize what is happening. You either feel like things are going great and you should continue with all your heart or you realize maybe it’s time to just call it quits. I think that’s what this song is about. The guy in the song doesn’t seem quite ready to give in, but he seems to know in his heart that it’s going to be over. It’s just not going to work out for these two.

As for any musician this will lead to one of those sad songs, but maybe that’s what helps people move on. Maybe it’s good to have that period where you’re getting over someone. You can get all those feelings out and move on so the next relationship has a chance to work out.

What do you think of the new track?

Does it sound like a top 30 hit?

Chart Estimate: #30

CML Points: 80/100
