This is my first introduction to this band. I heard their song for the first time I think on Hot Country on Spotify. The song definitely stood out and before I even realized what I was listening to I was singing along to the words.
That’s usually a good sign when it comes to a song potentially being a hit. I think these guys are pretty new to country, but have been around for a while. I think there was a question as to why their album wasn’t included on the country charts recently.
But whatever. I think it’s good.
Red Fire Night – Green River Ordinance
I have a soft spot for songs that kick it off with the chorus. And it’s all a cappella to boot. It reminds me a little bit of Alabama in that sense.
This song seems to be just about a bunch of people looking to get rid of the work for the week and have a good time at the bonfire. I think it’s a bonfire. Maybe it’s just under the night sky. Either way, it’s just about getting away from the world for a while to make some memories.
And that’s really what matters in life. It can’t all be work and I feel like for so many people it’s all about work today. Yes, that’s needed, but you get burned out fast living like that all the time.
Pretty cool song. Fast. It doesn’t really give you a chance to catch your breath and by the end you’re smiling and catching your breath if you tried to sing along.
I like it.
