There’s a buzz around Nashville for the new music coming out from Tucker Beathard. He has a different style. He has a different sound. Not everyone is going to like what he’s doing, but I think plenty will and it seems he’s already been building his following.
And he’s got Big Machine behind him and that’s always a good thing. Let’s check out the song that’s been getting some really good play especially on Spotify.
Rock On – Tucker Beathard
I like this one…quite a bit. I wasn’t sure when it first started out, but by the chorus I was pretty hooked.
The song is about a guy that’s looking at a girl he had in the past. She’s seemingly moving on without any trouble and he’s realizing that he missed the one and she’s now gotten away for good. That’s how it works, but sometimes we’re blind to what we have for whatever the reason.
The hook in the song is that the guy knows he should have made the commitment. He should have looked at the long-term and put a rock on the girl’s finger. But that’s all in the past now. Sometimes you don’t get a second chance.
This definitely bends the country genre, but I think that’s a good thing. There is an influx of young artists in Nashville right now and many are doing some different things. It’s kind of cool. You don’t have to like it all, but if something bends your ear just enjoy it.
I like this song. I’m excited to see how it does.
