Here’s some classic country.
For those of you that love the old school outlaw-type country this is for you. Roger Creager has a great sound. I love the vocals and the song is great too. Check out Turn It Up…
Turn It Up – Roger Creager
I’ve never seen Creager spelled this way, but it might become more common if Turn It Up turns people on and becomes a hit.
There is still room for the traditional guys in country music. He’s not George Strait, but he’s a little Waylon and a little Jamey Johnson. I just use those folks to kind of give you a feel for the brand of country Roger Creager likes to play.
Turn It Up is about what appears to be Roger’s life. He loves his country and rock music. He loves his whiskey now and then. He won’t turn those things down no matter what. When other people are ready to leave he’s ready to turn it up. That’s a great way to have fun with life and really enjoy what you do. I’m sure Roger already has quite a few fans turning up his music in their trucks.
I’ve mentioned before that there’s a movement toward rock and rap in country. That certainly is true, but there is always room for guys like Roger in country music as well. He comes off as a traditionalist guy. He sings with heart and passion and is full blown country. The man is bringing the goods for the guys and gals in the audience that love them some good country music.
I’m a fan of what Roger is doing. He’s got a great voice. This song is good. It could have a chance on the charts. Perhaps a top 25 hit is on the way.
