You remember this classic right?

I love the intro to this performance. Whitney explains why she loves this song. There are so many Christmas songs that are slow and easy listening and that’s true. But this song is really cranked up there and makes you feel like you need to get in a hurry to get where you’re going.

I think this is a great version. The version I remember is the one from the movie Home Alone when the family is racing through the airport trying to catch the plane for their vacation to France.

So many of the classic Christmas songs are about times in the past and feeling nostalgic. But this one is about something else that can really ring true during the holidays. You’re rushing and rushing trying to get everything done. You want to take time off work, but you still have to get the work done and that means rushing through everything to get it all done.

And Whitney does a good job of keeping things kind of held off with the vocals while kind of letting the music and the song take us on a crazy ride. But she throws in just the right amount of emotion to feel like you’re heart is racing and that you’re having a good time.

Great version here of a great Christmas song. I think it’s on everybody’s list of favorites during this holiday season.
