Sara Evans Is A Little Bit Stronger
It’s been 3 years since Sara Evans released her Greatest Hitsalbum. It’s been an even longer 5 years since fans have been treated to a new studio album from the talented country singer.
Last year the singer released a new single from her upcoming sixth studio album, but if failed to gain much attention.
Now Sara is set to release A Little Bit Strongerand the song appears strong enough to gain some momentum on the charts and put Sara back at the top of country music where she belongs.
A few interesting tidbits about the song include the fact that Lady Antebellum‘s Hilary Scott co-wrote the song with two of Nashville’s other fine songwriters. Also the song will be featured on the upcoming movie soundtrack Country Strong. The movie features Gwyneth Paltrow and Tim McGraw and features the soundtrack will feature the title song Country Strong
by Paltrow.
The song features the classic Sara Evans vocals that made her famous. She’s an extremely talented country singer and it shows on this track. It’s a medium tempo tune with some good lyrics and a catchy melody.
The influence of Hilary Scott is definitely felt on the song as well. I can picture this being a Lady A song and that bodes well for Sara since Lady A is the biggest thing in country music right now.
A Little Bit Strongeris about getting over a breakup or losing someone. All you can do is get by each day and get stronger without them.
Have a listen and share your thoughts on Sara’s new music.

Great review!
I used to be a huge Sara Evans fan, she lost alot of my respect when she went on Dancing With the Stars, saw she was in trouble and about to be eliminated and used her family problems as an excuse to bid out of the show, she once was a good country singer, she sounds strong in this song, however I wouldn’t buy it or anything else she put out, I’ll listen to Gywenth’s version, putting your husband down in the way you did with your kids very able to read was the busting point for me and I’m sure many others. Sorry we are through forgiving all, those days have passed. Good luck in your new marriage, hope this one lasts!
Nikki, I couldn’t agree more! What she did to her own children was heartless. I will not buy her music ever again!
Sara Evans was doing amazing on DWTS and never even came close to being eliminated. She was never in the bottom 3. She loved doing the show and once her family issues came up, she decided that it was best for her and her family to give the show up. She was being incredibly selfless and immedietly stopped the show once the alleged cheating of her husband came out. If she was being “heartless to her children”, she would’ve stayed on the show. She left so that she spend all of her time with her children. She wasn’t using it as an excuse, especially since she has recently admitted she would love to do the show again. I personally think Sara Evans has always been an incredible person and singer and continues to get better and better. I love this new song! I think it’s her best one since “I could not ask for more”. I will forever buy her music.
I personally think that Sara Evans is an exceptional country music singer and is HUMAN like all of us…she has a life outside of work!! I also agree that she has handled her “personal” matters the way she sees fit and for those of you that have chosen NOT to buy anything from her…IT’S YOUR LOSS! The world will go on…and as the song says…even on her weakest days…she will be a little bit stronger!! Great song Sara!! SHINE ON!!
Greyhound Bus to Boulder, Colorado and BX from Denver to Boulder – October, 2010 – gone past two weeks. Days Inn, S. Boulder Road, Boulder, Colorado.
How is her husband cheating on her a flaw in her? I would think that it would be him who deserved to be bashed. I hope this song, that probably resonates so well because she felt it, makes her a lot of money!
