Sawyer Brown will always be one of my favorite bands. I’ve had the chance to see them more than a few times.
Let me tell you – they can still put on one of the best live shows you’ll see anywhere.
They had a 20 year run of chart success. For the last few years they’ve haven’t had songs on the charts, but they’ve still been busy out on the road.
And they’ve put out the occasional single for the fans.
Here is the song they released this year.
Shadows Of The Heartland – Sawyer Brown
The song is about putting in a good days work, loving family and friends and doing good. Do that and you’ll end up with a pretty good life.
The heartland is where it all takes place. That’s what the title of the song stands for. It’s about those Friday night football games. It’s about not quite making everything work out, but that you’ll always have all you need as long as you have love.
It’s a really good song. As country artists get up past their prime a little bit it’s hard for these songs to make the charts. Even though this song is great you probably won’t hear it on the radio.
That’s why we share it here on Country Music Life.
This is a good song and it needs to be heard.
Let me know your thoughts.
