Today we’re getting new music from Daryle Singletary.
Daryle first came to fame in country back in 1995. He had a few big time hits along with a bunch more songs that kind of reached the top 40 or so, but never really became huge hits.
I’ve always been a fan because Daryle is a traditional country guy. He has that twang in his voice and he’s not looking to hide it at all.
His latest album is titled There’s Still A Little Country Left. I really like that. Let’s check out the single.
Spilled Whiskey – Daryle Singletary
This is my kind of country. I can’t believe you can still find music like this today. It sounds like it should be coming out of a country jukebox from the ’50s.
It’s as story song. I know country fans still love story songs. I’m not sure if they like this style anymore, but I’m sure the classic country fans will love this one.
I wasn’t sure what this song would be about. I thought maybe a tear in your beer song about spilled whiskey and spilled issues in life, but it turns out that it’s a love song.
And it’s a good love song.
It’s actually about a short love; a one night stand. Those will happen to many people in life and sometimes you’ll look back and wonder what could have been. You’ll be happy for the time, but you’ll always wonder what could have been.
Really cool song from Daryle.
It’s really cool to see him still out there doing what he loves. You could always tell that this was all Daryle wanted to do. He was always passionate about his brand of country music. He had a good run and he’s still out there doing great music today.
What do you think of this one?
