It’s all coming to an end for Luke Bryan. After seven or so years of going to Spring Break he’s calling it quits. He’s been putting out new music every year with the Spring Break theme and the kids down there on the beach have loved his shows. But there comes a time when you have to say goodbye to certain things. Here is the song closing it all out.
Spring Breakdown – Luke Bryan
The song is one of those that’s kind of sad, but it makes you smile when you think about all the good memories. The feeling in the song could really fit any situation where you’re saying goodbye to something you’ve loved for a long time.
But it fits well here. You can tell that Luke is sad to say goodbye, but by the time you’re in your mid to late 30s it’s probably time to leave Spring Break to the kids and find something else to fulfill those good times. For Luke it’s probably time with his growing family.
It’s kind of sad to see this ritual disappear. The songs never got too much promotion, but some probably deserved it. There are some good songs in the Spring Break collection from Luke Bryan. Maybe he’ll find another theme he can sing about each year. It’s kind of a neat way to put out music outside of the main album.
What are your thoughts? Did you enjoy the Spring Break songs from Luke?
