This is the first time I’ve heard of singer/songwriter Stephanie Quayle. The sounds of her first song are really good. She sounds like she has a little modern and a little traditional in her style. She kind of sounds like Sherrie Austin if you remember that great singer/songwriter who had some hits in the early ’00s.
Give this song a listen and see what you think of this new artist.
Sugar High – Stephanie Quayle
Young love has always been a good topic for songs. There are an incredible number of ways to sing about it and Stephanie has found yet another good way to express the sensation of young love. I think the idea of being on a sugar high is a great analogy. You’re with this person for the first time. You’re just falling in love. You want to spend all the time you can with them. It’s like being addicted to sugar. You get a quick feeling of bliss and then it fades when they’re not around.
Stephanie has a great country voice. It looks like she’s from Montana and it doesn’t get much more country than being from that great state. You’re surrounded by the wilderness and living a true country lifestyle. I’ve been there a couple times and each time it’s been wonderful. I’m sure it can be tough for young kids at times, but if you’re looking to be with nature it’s the place to be.
Glad to see that Stephanie is off and running with her career. This is the first song I’ve heard from her and it’s a good one. I think country fans are really going to like what they hear from this new artist.
